Grecotel Cape Sounio, Greece

Like the Temple of Poseidon which is clearly visible from most bungalows the resort design echoes the Attica landscape and is reflected in the brilliant blue sea and the clear skies of the Aegean. Set in a 75 acre estate on the edge of the beautiful Sounio National Park.

All villas have stunning architecture and decoration. The resortís main pool, which has glass walls and a whirlpool feature, faces the historical Temple of Poseidon. There is also the much-photographed sea water pool which is surrounded by green pines and their amber resin. The protected bay also offers an alternative to swimming in the pools.

The terracotta villas and bungalows blend into the unspoiled landscape. Inside the guest rooms are decorated with a similar palette with weathered bronze doors and tables adding to the resortís understated elegance.

All guest rooms have either a balcony or terrace as well as an open plan design and floor to ceiling glass doors so guest can enjoy the best of natural light. The villas are the ideal exclusive hideaway for couples. With breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea and the Temple of Poseidon, the Villas also boast private gardens and open air swimming pools shaded by Olive Trees. Artwork and hand-picked furnishings set a stylish backdrop in the separate dining and living areas.
